Customer Service Advisor, Consumer Support helps homeowners find reliable tradesmen through the power of online reviews. We’re a market leader in the UK and are part of IAC, a well known New York based internet group (Tripadvisor, Vimeo,, Tinder, HomeAdvisor, etc.). MyBuilder operates throughout the UK and our head office is located in Clerkenwell, Central London.

What the role involves

Our customer service team are on the front line at MyBuilder. We are the eyes and ears of the company and the voice of our customers. We help people resolve their issues and turn unhappy users into evangelists.

Your job will be to support and delight our consumer users. If someone is struggling to find a tradesperson through our platform, you will offer helpful advice over the phone or by email. You will provide technical support that your Grandmother would understand, resolving issues as they arise. As part of the wider customer operations team, you will triage and escalate cases as needed.

We are improving our consumer support model and the right candidate will have the opportunity to help shape any changes we make.

Who we are looking for

You are a people person. Making other people happy comes naturally to you. You instantly know when someone is struggling and instinctively want to help them out. A natural communicator who understands the importance of language and tone, you love to chat and take pride in writing a great email. You are passionate about technology and excited about what we are trying to achieve. Most importantly, you have a genuine desire to provide fantastic customer service.

This position would suit a graduate or someone who has recently completed their A levels and who would like to work in customer service. This is a great opportunity to join and progress in a creative, ambitious and fast-paced tech company.

Hours and location

  • Full-time: 35 hours per week, including one weekend day
  • Flexible start time
  • Based at our office in Clerkenwell, EC1
