MyBuilder is growing and we’re looking for a customer onboarding specialist to join us. This is not a traditional sales role. We are not looking for the Wolves of Wall Street. We take pride in making a personal connection with our customers so we look for people who have impressive listening skills, a persuasive yet empathetic conversation manner and a natural ability to build trust. Working as part of the wide customer support team, you will be dedicated to helping new and existing customers meet their business goals through the MyBuilder platform.
Our advisors make a real difference. The honest conversations they have positively impact the lives of our users. On any given day, they may be calling a recently approved builder to help them win work, or encouraging a sceptical kitchen fitter to engage with the service. We focus on understanding our customer’s needs, matching them with the right opportunities and securing their loyalty - delivered with the very best customer service.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A confident, engaging and persuasive telephone manner
- An aptitude for technology and the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- A proven track record of success in a sales/service environment
- A positive can-do approach to any given task
- Effective closing skills
- An understanding of the high level of productivity required to succeed
- The ability to hit the ground running, quickly grasping the necessary product knowledge
We’re keen to meet people from all backgrounds, although we do look for some experience of working in a telesales, account management or an outbound customer service environment. You’ll be thrown in at the deep end early so you should be able to absorb a lot of information and use it to advise customers about the benefits of our service using plain English. Our customers are often busy so you’ll be expected to quickly identify opportunities in order to maximise results.
We’re always looking for new ways of growing our trade network and our advisors are active in developing campaigns that really resonate with our customers. As part of a close-knit team, you’ll benefit from regular peer support and feedback to help you succeed and progress in your role at MyBuilder.
Please note, this is not a commission-based role but you will be fed and watered in a lovely office located in the heart of Clerkenwell. We have a games room, a gym and a big open plan kitchen. About the Support Team
Support is the friendly face our customers turn to when they need help using MyBuilder. We’re proud MyBuilder experts and advocates. Our job is to listen and understand the person behind each case, figuring out and solving problems in a professional manner, helping each customer get the most out of our service.
The Support team is part of the Customer Service team at MyBuilder.
Our London Office
Our London office is in the heart of Dickensian Clerkenwell, a short hop from Farringdon station amid some of the best pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in London. Exmouth Market is on our doorstep, but if you just want to hang out in the office, that’s fine too - we have two floors stuffed with high-end tech, an espresso machine, fridges packed with snacks and drinks, and lots of games to play.
