MyBuilder.com is an innovative start-up based in East London, enabling homeowners to find reliable tradesmen through the power of online reviews. We are a hard working, close-knit team dedicated to creating an incredible product. Our headquarters reflect our unique culture; we have an office bar, guitars, drawing club and a volunteer food team who make lunches for their colleagues.
In order to maintain and develop our culture, we are looking for an Office Manager to join the team.
As Office Manager, you will be pivotal in keeping the team engaged and productive. Your responsibilities will range from office organisation to recruitment and event planning. You will ensure the upkeep of the office, making sure its tidy, organised and fully stocked. Where necessary, you will organise travel and accommodation for visiting team members and other administrative tasks necessary to keep the business moving.
With recruitment, you might find yourself posting job adverts, sifting through CV’s or phone screening. Once new employees are on board you will help them to settle in by coming up with innovative ways to mix with the team. We also like to socialise together, so whether it’s card nights or treetop assault courses, we’ll need your to help keep this up!
The right person
We’re looking for an excitable, creative person with an engaging personality. You’ll be one of those people where nothing is too much trouble for you! While you don’t have to have had specific recruitment experience, great communication skills both in person and on the phone are a must.
You will have great organisational skills, experience using spreadsheets and will always be willing to get your hands dirty, sometimes literally! At MyBuilder you’ll never hear that something is “not my job” so you should be prepared to take on a variety of tasks which all contribute to the success of the company.
If you would like to be involved in the many moving parts of a successful startup business then this could be the opportunity you are looking for. Please send us a CV and covering letter explaining why you’d be a great addition to the team.
