Head of Brand Communications, PR and Content helps homeowners find reliable tradesmen through the power of online reviews. We’re a fast growing market leader in the UK and are part of IAC, a well known New York based internet group (Tripadvisor, Vimeo,, Tinder, HomeAdvisor, etc.). MyBuilder operates throughout the UK. Our bright and spacious office is located bang in the centre of Clerkenwell (the most interesting creative hotspot in London), with great surrounding areas of East London, including Shoreditch, Old Street and Angel! Nearest underground station is Farringdon.

We are looking for a world class Head of Brand Communications, PR and Content to join our team.

The role:

A key part of the role will be to ensure that all of our communication effectively conveys what we are about and reflects the dedication we have to our mission. At every touchpoint, the authentic MyBuilder needs to shine through.

We know that there is a deep well of untapped opportunity in PR. MyBuilder already has a great foundation with practically endless real-life success stories from homeowners and tradespeople, exciting event stories from a variety of campaigns, and reams of marketplace data that can provide insightful market trends. Another strand of the role is ensuring that we are acquiring new users as effectively as possible through PR efforts.

At MyBuilder we fully believe in the power of great content. Our consumer users need expert help and advice on choosing and working with tradesmen, which is not currently easy to get. What’s more, homeowners across the UK are actively searching the internet for this sort of content, so it’s a huge opportunity for us to drive more relevant traffic to and a key part of the role. With several dozen trade categories on MyBuilder, creating high quality content on several topics in each category is a significant undertaking. We currently have a full time writer and photographer that you will manage and we will continue to expand the team over time.

Acting as the key point of contact for media in the UK, you will build relations with key media to secure coverage online, in print and broadcast, securing coverage that connects MyBuilder with our target audience.

You will also need to be a fast learner, work hard, manage others effectively and have the grit required to see things through.

Our London Office

Our London office is in the heart of Dickensian Clerkenwell, a short hop from Farringdon station amid some of the best pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in London. Exmouth Market is on our doorstep, but if you just want to hang out in the office, that’s fine too - we have two floors stuffed with high-end tech, an espresso machine, fridges packed with snacks and drinks, and lots of games to play.
