Business Data Analyst (Operations)

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our data team. This person will work closely with our customer operations management team to drive improvements across all aspects of our customer-facing organisation.

We offer a flexible working environment with options to work remotely, at our Central London office or a mix of both.

Key responsibilities

  • Use data to create forecasting and capacity planning models across multiple channels, platforms and workstreams on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Work with data from our systems to create reports and detailed analyses around operational cost and performance
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations to make all of our operations teams more efficient and effective
  • Support our operations managers in identifying and setting up the right metrics
  • Set up and run reports required for regular business performance reviews at a department level
  • Participate in other data and workforce management-related projects
  • Assisting the head of operations with other analysis and reporting, in areas such as organisation and human resources

Skills and experience

  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills along with the ability to identify trends
  • Ability to tell a clear story and provide actionable insights using data
  • Commercial sense and ability to put numbers into a business perspective
  • Experience using quantitative data to drive decision making
  • Excellent spreadsheets skills - Google Sheets and Excel
  • SQL skills
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working with people of all levels and disciplines across the company

Our London Office

Our London office is in the heart of Dickensian Clerkenwell, a short hop from Farringdon station amid some of the best pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in London. Exmouth Market is on our doorstep, but if you just want to hang out in the office, that’s fine too - we have two floors stuffed with high-end tech, an espresso machine, fridges packed with snacks and drinks, and lots of games to play.
